Public Parks in Bursa
The green city welcomes you with it’s colourful public parks in Bursa. Previously, I’ve listed extreme parks and outdoor activity facilities. Now, I will inform you about public parks where you can have a great time with your kids and friends. In these parks, you can attend to some cultural events, take a ride in roller coaster or ride a bicycle in a peacuful botanic garden. Let’s start with Kültür Park.
1 - Kültür Park
Kültür Park is the first largest green park in Bursa. It was opened in 1955 and its location is in the center. The park is 393.000 square meters and family-friendly public place. There are thousands of trees, walking paths, restaurants, playgrounds, cafe, small amusement park and picnic areas. In the amusement park, you can enjoy with roller coaster, bumper cars, ferris wheel, carrousel…Apart from that, there is an artificial lake where you can rent paddle boats and pedalo hourly.
Also, there is an amphitheatre hosts “International Bursa Festival” since 1962. It is a yearly event during the summer. I had a chance to attend concerts of Lara Fabian, Gipsy Kings, Inna, Rachid Taha. Culture Park hosts Bursa Archeology Museum as well. It is not only for children but also for adults. You can have a perfect time with your family totally.
2- Bursa Zoo
Bursa Zoo was opened in 1998 and it is a member of European Association of Zoos and Aquaria. It was built comptatible with the natural habitat of the animals. There are 600 animals with 67 species. You will see monkeys, lions, bears, camels, onegars, ostrich, lama, leopards, zebra, donkeys, elephants, tigers, wolves, squirrels and so on. It is such a big diversity in a peaceful green atmosphere.

3- Bursa Botanic Park
Bursa Botanic Park is another natural park which you can store th oxygen a lot. It is very closed to Bursa Zoo so you can visit both of thm at the same time. Inside you can ride a bicycle or you can walk thorugh the paths with accompany thousands of trees, flowers and floras. Gardens are divided into sections such as Japanese, French and English, rose and more. There is an artificial lake and restaurant. Playgrounds for children, sports tools for exercising in a full green park are also plus for visiting.
4- Merinos Park
Merinos Park is the second biggest park after Kültür Park in Bursa. The park hosts two important buildings: Merinos Textile Industry Museum and Merinos Atatürk Congress and Cultural Center. This center is functioning as a fair area, opera house, theatre, concert hall. In the area, there are social facilities such as parks, restaurants, playgrounds for children, paths for walking and running, thousands of trees and tens thousand of plants. 5- Podyum Park
Podyum Park welcomes the people as one of the colorful family-oriented social facilitiy in Bursa. It was launced in 2015 in the boulevard Fatih Sultan Mehmet, Nilüfer. This open-air entertainment center ensure to spend quality time for visitors. Inside, there are shopping mall, aqua park, amusement center, restarurants, coffee shops, bars, nigh clubs and sport centers.
Podyum Park appeals to very member of your family. You can do hundreds of activities with your family all together. Starpark amusement Center offers you ferrriswheel, horror house, bumper cars fairy swing, etc. You can enjoy swimming in Aquapark for hours while your children play with the animators inside. After all these activities, you can have a lovely dinner in the restaurant.
6- Bursa Science and Technology Center
Bursa Science and Technology Center aims to raise awareness about science and technological developments especially among children. There are 12 sections inside. Experimental setups, workshops,chmistyr and physcis laboratuaies, planetarium, virtual class for simulation perfromance. One of the principle of the cnter is touching the science through interactiv learning. It can be a highly enjoyable and educational activity for your children.
